Pastor's DeskTHOUGHT FOR THE WEEK: John 6:37, All that the Father giveth Me shall come to Me; and him that cometh to Me I will in no wise cast out. - King James Version The double, emphatic negative used in this verse translated as "in no wise" is more than just saying no. It actually defines the action of 'casting out' as an impossibility. Thus, when a person accepts the Lord Jesus Christ as their personal Savior, it is an emphatic impossiblity for them be cast out from the Lord. Point: Salvation cannot be lost after it is given of GOD. Do not allow yourself or your family to be misled by preachers and teachers using Scripture out of the context from which it is written. Keeping Bible verses in proper context and the use of the rules of interpretation: 1) Who is speaking. 2) Who is being spoken to. 3) What is the speaker speaking about. 4) When is the speaker speaking, means the difference between the truth and the lie. Study the Word of God for yourself. Do not take anyone's word for the truth, including mine. God holds me accountable for what I teach, but He holds YOU accountable for what you accept as the truth. More Scripture used 'in context' concerning security of salvation in a day or so. Thanks for your time in visiting our site. BOOK & READING SUGGESTIONS: CHURCH HISTORY: SERMON OUTLINES: STUDY TOOLS & LINKS: MISCELLANEOUS: END TIME EVENTS: The very best End-Time information availible can be found at www.tribulationperiod.com Tom McElmurry, the author of the site, does not only have the credentials to support his scientific evidence, but he also is a man who is saved by the grace of God, grounded in the knowledge of the difference in a Scriptural church and an unscriptural church, and the Holy Spirit of God and the Bible are his guide, not the thoughts of man. Remember, not all who profess Christ are of Christ!
